School dinners

School dinners are provided by Chartwells from September. A daily menu of hot food is available for the children to choose from. It costs £2.75 and children who qualify for Pupil Premium, do not need to pay. Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 do not pay for school dinners as they receive this under Universal Free School Meals.
We have recently gone over to Cashless Payments for all dinners so every child needs to be registered with Chartwells, even those children who receive Free School Meals or are in KS1 and receive Universal Free School Meals. Information about how to register is on our website under the tab for "letters/newsletters".
All dinners should be paid in advance, either termly, monthly, or weekly (if paying weekly, this must be paid by the Friday of the week before). You can choose to have occasional days for school dinner and this must be paid for before the day. A dinner register will be taken in the classroom each morning so that the kitchen staff know which children are having dinners. If a child books a dinner, but the meal has not been paid for in advance the kitchen staff have the right to refuse a lunch.
Please notify the kitchen if your child is vegetarian or has any special dietary requirements. There are additional forms that need to be completed if your child has any allergies or dietary requirements which can be found on our School Information Page, and with copies here.
