St. Augustine's Birdbox

Eurasian_blue_tit_Lancashire

Meet our blue tit family

See http://www.seenature.org.uk/school-zone/school-streams/

The school is working with The BirdBox Project, an exciting opportunity for our pupils to "give nature a home", and learn about the many birds that visit our school grounds throughout the year.

Managed by the South East Learning Associates, the 12 week educational project for Key Stages 1 and 2 pupils is an important part of the BirdBox programme.

It launched in mid March and finishes at the end of June. This exciting project offers our pupils the unique opportunity to watch live footage from inside our birdbox, and learn about the feeding habits of the many birds that visit our bird feeding station.

We currently have a pair of blue tits nesting in our birdbox - See live action of the birds here.
