Year 5 Harvest Assembly
Year 5 presented our 2022 Harvest Prayer & Liturgy for the whole school. They wrote prayers, talked about Harvest around the world and re-told the story of Jesus feeding the five thousand. (John 6:1-14) Well done Year 5!
The whole school community was incredibly generous with donations for The Rainbow Centre food bank in Folkestone - in all, 66.9kg of food and toiletries was given to those less fortunate than ourselves.
We received this messages of thanks from T, office manager at The Rainbow Centre:
Thank you for your wonderful harvest donations which you have kindly donated to the Rainbow Centre, it really does make such a difference to the help and support we can give in the community.
We also received this message from B, a volunteer at The Rainbow Centre
We received a very generous harvest collection from your school on Friday and thank you kindly for your help with packing and getting it to my car.
In total the weight of the donations amounted to 66’9kg in weight. Multiple tins, a variety of boxes of cereal and dried food - a truly fantastic response from your generous families and staff in supporting the Rainbow Centre, our local Christian Charity. Thank you and hope you all have a lovely and safe half term. My Best Wishes, B 🙏/ Rainbow Centre, Volunteer.
