Sharks Termly Overviews
English
English Writing - The Evil Garden has been our English focus this week and we have been writing a formal letter to apply for the job of head gardener. There has been lots of chatter about the gardens we know from books and film and how to write to persuade for a chance to run of garden of curiosity!
Grammar and Punctuation - The children have been very busy revising lots of important Grammar and Punctuation. They are really enjoying creating their own GPS journals to help them remember all the key facts. The important skill of note taking will be vital for them moving forward into secondary school!
Maths
We have been to Nandos School in maths this week. We had to learn how to split a bill - a vital waitering skill - by adding up orders and dividing the total as part of our lesson on dividing decimals.
R.E.
In RE this week, we have been exploring what it means to be a disciple. We discussed the qualities and skills a person might need to be a disciple and to be in communion with Christ. The children then made posters advertising the job of a disciple.

Maths Practice
Here is a really useful link for SATs Arithmetic questions - this will help for any areas your child may feel they aren't as secure in. There are helpful videos to guide your child (and you) through any of the procedures.
Those who are in Mrs Neale's maths after-school club will have been shown this to help them hone those vital arithmetic maths skills.
